Fulfillment Center

ARCH 283 | STUDIO 2B: SITE ORDERS | SPRING 2019 | PROF. AARON GENSLER | WSOA

Natural and urban site orders are explored and analyzed using writing, photography, mapping and sectional studies to develop site planning and building design with special emphasis given to the relationship between program and external context.

The Project revolves around the word “Carve”. It introduces landscape to the sloped site and it inspire the diverse facades throughout the buildings.

The Site is located in the intersection of Valley Blvd. and Westmont Dr. in Alhambra, a city where diversity in culture can be found. A small fulfillment center will create new opportunities for the residents by providing jobs to the community. Since only 27 % of Alhambra residents

speak English, my tenant program is a school of languages that supports the function of the fulfillment center; both share a goal to deliver a product in the best way possible by having a logistic system that manage and organize each element to function together as a whole.
